Generally, these golf clubs have a long shaft and large head to get the maximum speed of the club. In the era of late 1980s, manufacturers used metals (titanium or steel) to make such golf clubs; in the recent times, manufacturers have started to use the material like scandium or carbon fiber. Originally, woods are made from distinctive materials, but they are still known as woods to indicate the usual shape and their original use on the golf course. These days, the woods are made up of a titanium head and graphite shaft.
