In golf, penalty is the further strokes put into the player’s score for make an infraction of the rules. Apart from adding strokes, in a match play the penalty is the loss of the hole, excluding the penalties estimated for having relief from lost ball or hazard. When the ball is declared as unplayable in its present lie that situation may be assessed for penalty. As like hitting of wrong ball, picking up one’s own ball, picking up any other person’s ball, interact with moving ball, playing a ball which is out-of –turn. Cleaning the ball during play hour and violating equipments can be assessed for penalty. When the player earns penalty, he can play a new ball otherwise he can move the current ball as per the rules governing the condition under which the changeover or placement takes place. He/she can do this from the spot where they beat the ball into that condition or at a point where the ball got over the margin of the unplayable situation.
