| A Small Session to learn Wedges – The Golf Clubs
One can find many different golf club types in the market and there are so many people in the world who doesn’t really know about these things. So, here we have described one of the golf club (stick) type, known as wedges.
They are nothing more than an iron kind of golf clubs with higher loft than an iron with number 9, which is lofted on and around 42 degrees. These wedges are utilize to play variety of high altitude, short distance, high accuracy shots like punching the ball on to the green (attack or approach shot) or placing a ball perfectly on the fairway to have a better shot on the green (lay up shots), or punching a ball out of rough on the green (shots like chipping).
Generally, you will find five types of wedges with the lofts varied from 45 to 65 degrees, which are given here. Ultra lob wedge (LW, 64 degrees), lob wedge (LW, 60 degrees), sand wedge (SW, 56 degrees), gap wedge (GW 52 degrees) and pitching wedge (PW 48 degrees). Pitching wedge is sometimes known as number 10 iron and gap wedge is known as approach wedge.
